Racing History: Car raced in 1968 and 1969 by Mike Hiss in the SCCA Formula A Championship Series with several top 10 finishes. The Lola T140 was a very competitive car in the 1968 F/A championship winning many races against the Gurney Eagle cars. Car raced during 1972-1973 in several hill climb races in the Pennsylvania area setting many records. Car later moved to Texas and British Columbia, CAN, where it was found and lovingly restored by the current owners. Car currently raced by Janet Fitch in historic events on the Pacific coast.

Previous Owners: Jerry Hansen, John Mahler, Wayne Sheler, Art Cross, Owen Starr, Lou Pavesi, Rick McLean, Mark Rincon (1997-2007).

Racing History: Jerry Hansen raced car in 1968 qualifying mostly in the top three places and finishing most races in top three places. John Mahler raced the car in 1969 with less success with best 5th place finish. Wayne Sheler raced the car in 1972 in a handful of races. Mark Ricon raced the car in a dozen vintage races between 1993-1996. Richard Cross also raced the car in at least four vintage races between 2004-2007. John Bryant began racing car in Australia and New Zealand Vintage races beginning in 2007.

Previous Owners: Pierre Phillips, Dr. Grant Hill, Lou Pavesi.

Racing History: Pierrre Phillips of Portland, Oregon, purchased the Lola from Carl Hass and campaigned it in the first years of the SCCA F5000 Series in 1968 and 1969 at Laguna Seca and Riverside International Raceway.  Pierre shipped the Lola to New Zealand, competing in the 1968 New Zealand F5000 Championship Series.  He also campaigned it in SCCA FA class and in the 1968 Road Race of Champions at Riverside.

There is a gap in ownership history up to 1988 when Dr. Grant Hill Alberta, Canada acquired the car.  In 1990 Lou Pavesi, California acquired the Lola, and campaigned it until selling it in 2004 to Bill and Bruce.

In 2008 Bill and Bruce began campaigning the Lola in the F5000 40th Anniversary races.  The Lola received the “Best Presentation and Performance” award at the Wine Country Classic in 2008.  The Lola has been campaigned every year since 2008 in the F5000 races, at Circuit of the Americas, Indianapolis, Road America, Portland International Raceway, Coronado, California Speedway, Sears Point, and Laguna Seca.

In 2015 the Lola was re-restored to its original livery that matches photos we have received from Pierre Phillips and our friend Spike Snyder.  We then raced it in the 2015 Monterey Reunion.

Racing History: Car raced by Ulf Norinder in 1969 in Guards European Formulae 5000 who finished 7th overall. Jackie Oliver also race the car in 1969 in a non-championship race. Ian Ashley drove the car for Norinder in 1970. Kenny Smith and Roger Scott Dunedin raced the car since the early 90s in various historic race events in New Zealand and Australia. Roger Townshend bought the car in 2003, repainted from red to current colors of blue and gold, and continues to race the car in historic events in New Zealand.

Car later raced by Tom Quatsoe in various vintage events with HSR, SCCA, etc. Car restored to original Lola yellow and specifications in 2000.

Racing History: Car history unknown prior to early 1980s. Dino Crescentini bought car at an auction in Toronto in the early 1980s and raced in vintage events in Michigan until car was sold to Mead Korwin in 2002. Mead Korwin has raced sporadically since with HSR, SVRA and other vintage groups in the Midwest. Car was to be reunited with Dino Crescentini for F5000 40th anniversary reunion race before Dino’s death at Mosport race in June 2008.

Racing History: Mark Donohue raced car for Carl Hass for a promotional event at Sebring in 1969. Ron Grable drove the car for Don Williams in 1970 and two races in 1971 in the L&M Continental Series finishing first at Edmonton and Laguna Seca. Ron finished the season in fifth place in point in the  L&M Continental Championship series in 1970 with this car frequently finishing races in the top 10 positions. Reinhold Jung purchased the car from Chuck Haynes in March 2007 and he is currently restoring it for participation in the Formula 5000 revival historic race series.

Racing History: Lola works car driven by Mike Hailwood. Believed to be an experimental car to extend wheel base of Lola T190 for transition to Lola T192 longer wheel base. Hailwood raced car in 1970 in the International Gold Cup and International Trophy with top 10 finishes. Hailwood won the Preis Von Saltzburg race in Austria in the car in 1970. Car later raced in the US SCCA National races in 1971 and 1972. Car returned to racing in vintage events in 2012.

Racing History: Eric Haga raced in 1970 in 11 races in the U.S. After the 1970 season, the t190/8 was traded in by Competition Development, Seattle Wa. to Charley Hayes Racing  the West Coast distributor for Lola.  Hayes  converted the car to a T192  and entered it in the Questor GP with Bobby Unser driving it. Jim Gustafson raced in West Coast SCCA events (finished 8th in 1974 Southern Pacific Division with 1 pt) and in the ‘Pro’ series at Ontario Raceway in Sep 1974 and Riverside in Oct 1974. Richard Votava ran in SCCA Regionals (mainly at RIR) in 1976 and 1977; SCCA Nationals in 1978 and 1979. Marshall Tarnow raced in Mar 1980  and Alan Sevadjain raced at Texas in 1981. Larry C. Clain raced at RIR and elsewhere 1982. Chip Boatright bought the car in 2006 and completed a restoration using the T192 body that came with car and ran as such in its early racing life. Chip raced the car Road America KIC vintage events in 2008 before selling it to Eric Haga. Haga, who had raced the car in 1979, returned the car to the original configuration and livery of 1970 and return on track with the car in 2009.

Racing History: Car was delivered to Carl Haas in April 1971 as a white color and purchased by Jack Ideljorge of Englewood, Colorado. Jack entered it for the first time in the May 1971 Seattle Grand Prix. Raced by Jack in various other F5000 races from 1971 to 1972. Best finish: 6th at Mid-Ohio, 8th at Road America. Larry Castleman raced the car in various vintage races during the mid 1990s. Car currently actively raced by Seb Coppola with HSR, SVRA, and other historic racing events at Watkins Glen, Road America, Mosport, Mt.Treblant, Road Atlanta, VIR, etc.

Car restored to 1972 livery by Bruce Fullerton and raced in 2007 in Derek Bell Trophy races in UK and historic GP de Pau in May 2007.

Racing History: Originally sold by Carl Haas to Kas Kastner of Kastner/Brophy Racing in February, 1971. Car was then loaned back to Carl Haas for reigning Indy 500 and 1970 USAC Champion Al Unser for use in the Questor Grand Prix in March, 1971, prepared by George Bignotti. The loan was in exchange for a new Traco Chevrolet V8 engine. The car was then campaigned in the 1971 L&M Formula 5000 Championship season by Kastner/Brophy Racing with Jim Dittemore as the driver and Max Kelley as the crew chief. Jim Dittemore finished 5th in the 1971 series.

Mead Korwin acquired the car in 2001 from Bud Bennet of RM Motorsports and has run vintage races at various venues including Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio, Road Atlanta, Waterford Hills, Blackhawk Farms, and the Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca.

Racing History: Raced by Mark Waco in 1973 and Ron Dykes in 1974-1975. This was the last T192 built and was probably a replacement or spare car in 1971-1972. In 1973 the Justice Brothers purchased the car and ran it as the “JB Lola. They ran the car through 1975 as the only T192 still competing in F5000 professional events and driven by Ron Sykes. Car was restored during 2008-2009 and returned to compete in F5000 Revival Racing Series in 2010..
