Racing History: This car was the feature March in the 1973 London Race Car show. John Gunn purchased the car and raced in the UK F-5000 series for three races under the Crane Cam colors. In 1973 he raced it under the Crane Cam and Roman Brio colors as well as Marchal March in the L&M F-5000 series. In 1974, John Gunn sold the car to Harold Day who sold it to Les Hudelson. Les hired John Cannon to drive the car for two races in late1974 (Monterey Grand Prix and Riverside Grand Prix). After that the car was put away and never raced again. Greg Wold bought the car in early the 1990’s and restored it. Nick Smith purchased car in 2007 and race in Formula 5000 40th Anniversary races at Infineon Raceway finishing 3rd in class and at Road America in 2008.

Racing History: Mario Andretti and George Follmer raced this car in the 1970 F5000 Championship. Follmer finished in first place at St. Jovite and Mid-Ohio, second place at Lime Rock, and third place at Elkhart Lake in 1970.

Entered / raced by Brian O’Neil and Buce Eglington in 1971, 1972, 1973.

Entered at Road Atlanta by Butch Henneger in 1973.

Racing History: Bill Brack raced car in various US events in 1970, 1971, and 1972 . Ed Hinchcliff from Ypsilanti, MI races the car in 1973 for Tope Racing Enterprises  from Troy, MI for one race only at Watkins Glen on June 17, 1973. Car not raced since. Car bought in 2005 by James Faulknor and restored for racing in the 40th anniversary races in 2008.

Racing History: Assembled by Lotus Components in England, it was completed in January of 1970 for the International Car Show in London.  The car was shipped to Los Angeles for George Folmer to drive in the Questor Grand Prix.  George qualified 6th, next to Emerson Fittipaldi.  He ran up front, but succumbed to engine failure. Canadian, Bill Breck, made a deal with Lotus Components to purchase the car, but when his finances failed to materialize, the car was bought by Pete Brock for John Morton to drive.  The car, dubbed the Stainless Steel Carrot by Sylvia Wilkinson, John’s girl friend, managed to run only three races before being wrecked at Road Atlanta in a freak rain storm. Pete Brock, lacking the funds to rebuild, sold the car to Bob Dunlop, who needed the spares to keep his Lotus A car running.  It has been stored since 1972, until Dunlop’s partner, Steve Rich decided to restore it to it’s image as seen in Sylvia Wilkinson’s book: The Stainless Steel Carrot – Life of John Morton.

Racing History: Car driven by Bill Simpson in New Zealand in 1970 in the Tasman Series. Driven by Davey Jordan in US SCCA for AIR Team in 1971-1972. Frank Schultz raced 1n 1975-1976. Jim Mapson later raced car in 1988-1990 in VARA events. Steve Davis bought the car in 2006 and raced it in vintage events until 2012 winning two U.S. F5000 Revival Race Series Championships. In 2013, John Crean’s son, Johnnie Crean, bought the car and returned to the original livery of red and white. Johnnie plans to continue to race the car in vintage events.

Car has competed since 2008 in the U.S. F5000 Revival Series and has won the Revival Championship in 2011, 2012 and 2014.

Car was driven by Vern Schuppan also in 1975 and 1976 at various events from Watkins Glen to Riverside with many top 10 finishes and a second place at Long Beach, CA. Tom Malloy has raced the car in various Vintage racing events since he purchased it in 1999.

Racing History: Car was built for Mario Andretti to race in the F5000 series until he decided to race for Lotus. Raced by George Eaton early in its history. Later raced in SCCA national events and finished 3rd in total point in SCCA Northeast Division in 1972. A second car was built for Al Unser Sr, but was instead shipped to New Zealand. Chassis 01 is currently raced by Mike Knittel with HSR, SVRA, and other historic racing events primarily at Watkins Glen and Mosport.

Racing History: Raced by Rex Ramsey and Jim Paul in 1969 and in the early 1970s in various F5000 L&M Series and SCCA Formula A races and at Mt. Treblant finishing most of the time in the middle of the pack. According to Rex he won a F5000 Championship race with the car in 1969. Next best finish was 8th place at Laguna Seca in June 1970. Kirk Severson has raced recently in various historic races in the west Mountain region to many first place finishes. Marty Fidrich completely restored the car himself, and renumbered it from #132 to #22 as when Rex Ramsey campaigned the car. Marty has been running the car in historic events in Colorado, and regularly takes first or second place. Marty and his MK11 also won the Open Wheel class at the RMVR Endurance Race in October of 2007.

This car was driven by Peter Gethin to 2nd place in the European F5000 Championship.  The car won four races in 1974 and had multiple top 5 finishes. It narrowly missed winning the Championship in 1974 by finishing third at Brands Hatch at the last race in October 2004. For 1974, the Chevron factory had no plans to make any F5000 cars. Until Team VDS owners Rudi Van der Straaten called Derek Bennett. The result was the two team VDS cars. These were the only cars that left the factory as B28s. The other “B28s” were upgraded B24

Racing History: Car designed by George Begg and built by Begg Engineering a manufacturer principally of agricultural equipment in Southland, New Zealand. Car was raced by Jim Murdoch during 1974-1977 finishing second in the NZ Grand Prix in 1975 and second in the Gold Star Series. Murdoch place third in the 1976 International series in NZ with the car. Car was bought from museum in 1985 from Gavin Bain and restored for racing in Classic Racing events. Noel Atley purchased car in 2005 and raced it in historic racing events. Purchased by Calven Bonney in late 2009 and restored for 2010 racing season and Australian Grand-Prix support race debut.
